How To Make Your Period End Faster?

With the advanced technology and knowledge we have, one can only assume to have all the answers. Probably not all of them but we know this for sure – we can make the period shorter. We’ve all been there, on the beach in shorts, on a exotic vacation getaway maybe but with period. And you see everyone enjoying the saltwater except you. Or just before a big meeting, it starts flowing. Devastating feeling. But rather than letting this make you canceling plans, there are ways to make the process shorter and reduce the number of days it lasts.

First things first, let’s talk about long and short term ways to make your menstrual period shorter

Exercise and well balanced diet

Very important step not only for the cycle but for maintaining a healthy life. The uterus is an organ build-up from tissues distributed in three layers with contracting abilities therefore muscles. So by doing any kind of exercise every muscle builds up muscle mass and also it stretches. As I said in the last article I prefer yoga. It’s strong enough for building muscle mass but most importantly it’s not causing any stress on the muscles. For me, it’s relaxing and productive. The main cause is to calm down the mind. As you progress into yoga you learn the ability to control your emotions and thoughts. The human body is the most perfect in the world discovered by now. Even in the worst lifestyle, the body makes its work most perfect assuming the circumstances. If you don’t have motivation for it you can always try, jogging, pilates, aerobic as a ventilator for stress and bad mood. So, we got that part covered, find your thing and go from there.

Have Sex

Having a loving partner and regular sex and orgasms makes the uterus muscles stronger and healthier. Plus, on the upside having it produces hormones and endorphins which makes us happier and gives a fulfilling feeling. But, it’s important to have feeling involved and strong communication and chemistry. Let me elaborate, if you do it by schedule and you are happy on the surface the needed endorphins can make their magic. So be careful while finding a supportive and loving partner because that will become the second most important influence on you. The first biggest influence is yourself. You yourself have the ultimate power, so remember that it’s better to stay alone than in a toxic relationship. Did you know that sex during a period reduces the pain and the flow? Also, and this isn’t fully elaborated on how it works but, if your partner ejaculates inside the first day or the second, the period will likely get shorter. The bad side is that it’s never too sure and in my opinion they use the first two days because the last unused egg is being thrown. This isn’t pure math so we can’t be sure if pregnancy won’t happen but for sure it will make the period shorter.

Eat Vegetables

Green leafy vegetables can reduce the flow and shorten the days for example green beans, spinach, kale, etc. Basically everything with vitamin E.

Drink Red wine

Some studies show that consuming red wine reduces the period because it improves blood circulation which makes the heart pump more efficiently and faster which increases blood flow.

Drink Tea

Raspberry leaf tea and yarrow are the best for women’s health. Yarrow is a powerful women’s medicine. It’s believed that Achilles covered his body with yarrow before battles and that’s why he survived most of them. But he didn’t cover his Achilles tendon and because of that, he died.

Consume Vitamin C

If the right amount of vit. C is consumed before and during the period it will lower the progesterones and the cycle will end faster. So, be sure to bank up with vitamin C.

Tampons or sanitary napkins?

Tampons will do their work if you are on vacation and the urge for swimming is big but, they stop the flow and make it longer. Be sure to use sanitary napkins when the period starts and occasionally tampons. Also, tampons need to be changed often because when put there isn’t air and sepsis is likely to happen. There are cases when the tampon isn’t changed for days and they all got infective sepsis which is lethal.

Pills

I’d like to focus on this one the most. Pills are the easiest way out because let’s face it, we all have periods of time when we are lazy, or under a lot of pressure, or having a fast lifestyle without having the time for exercising or eating healthy.

Pharmaceuticals companies know this, we’ve all been there and done that. But first things first. The brain, his holy grail, works on a specific mechanism called reflex memory.

This means that once learned the brain does the work by scheme like, eating or sleeping, breathing, having sex. So having an ovulation is also a produced reflex. Once forgotten nobody guarantees that it will come back. Contraceptive pills do that. They stimulate the brain and it’s glands to make the body stop producing ovulation. You will have that vacation or plan not ruined by ovulation but are you sure you want that forever? In my opinion, no. Every time we try to change our body in one way or another, the body starts its survival mode and it will try to make its best but eventually it will drain out of power.

It’s simple but i wouldn’t do that if I were you. Nonsteroid anti-inflammatory pills can also reduce the period, for example ibuprofen but I don’t believe in pills. Not with the placebo knowing the science confirmed it exist. Science is basically telling us that our mind can do stuff if we truly believe in them.

Off-topic there was a story about a man with brain cancer who got a placebo medicine and his tumors shrunk, when the therapy ended his tumors got back so he got a “stronger” dose and he was healthy. In the end, when he found out that the drug was some fluid without curing abilities he panicked and died the very next day. At that time he didn’t even had cancer.

Hot baths will increase the flow there for the period will end earlier.

Summary

There are a variety of options from home remedies to pills you can use and they all work efficiently.

Also while doing some of them as I said before, you will make a healthy lifestyle. Regardless, the period will become regular and planning will get easier. You know my opinion about pills I don’t support them, it’s known that they cure one thing but make ill another so you don’t want that. Using them, any future child is on concerns because they can mess up the whole process of getting pregnant when wanted.

Find what works for your body.
